A More Connected Teaching Day
Plan class meetings, take attendance, review assignment grades and learner revisions, prepare reports, and share selected work with families while keeping your saved history connected.
This release brings more of the teaching day into the workspaces you already use. Move from your plan to class meetings, learner work, feedback and family sharing without rebuilding the context at each step. These additions work within your workspace permissions; a district-wide rollout is not required to use the individual teacher planning tools.
Plan the week and manage changes
- Use calendar views, saved timetables and class meetings alongside your lesson plans. Review the meeting details before publishing a timetable or connecting a lesson.
- Prepare lesson materials, move a lesson or shift a sequence with a preview of the changes. Lessons that have already started keep their captured meeting history.
- Use curriculum maps, timelines and reviewed rollover copies to prepare another teaching period while retaining the original work.
- Keep a teacher task list on the Classroom Dashboard so unfinished work is easier to return to.
Take attendance and review assignment grades
- Open class and daily attendance registers, review roster changes, and inspect corrections and attendance history.
- Use the assignment gradebook to review assignment definitions, grading policies and roster changes before recording results. A score of zero remains different from an empty cell.
- Keep assignment grades separate from standards-based mastery judgments. Recording a result does not automatically make a mastery decision.
Give feedback without losing the learner's earlier work
- Reopen submission attempts and revision-request history with the activity definition that applied to the work.
- Save private writing-feedback drafts, review a queue of submissions, and preview feedback before releasing it. Feedback retains its saved rubric even if the live rubric later changes.
- Record or attach supported feedback audio, review its transcript, and let learners return to released feedback. Student response workflows also support reviewed image and video submissions where enabled.
- Repair a selected part of a recoverable AI draft while retaining the other parts and your edits. Check the saved state before retrying an interrupted request.
Prepare reports and share selected learning
- Build learner reports from selected evidence. Optional AI proposals remain editable drafts that you choose whether to insert.
- Review language editions and selected report media with their descriptions or transcripts. Review and release the exact report version, individually or through a class batch review.
- Curate portfolio collections and return to authorized work from earlier years. Family views show only the work released to the current viewer.
- Use the family inbox and explicitly requested digests to collect released updates. Preparing or saving a report does not send an email; recipient review and sending are separate actions.
Return to the history behind your decisions
More workflows retain revisions, corrections and reviewed decisions in private Notes history. Visible status distinguishes captured history from confirmed delivery. Authorized month, quarter and year comparisons help you inspect changes without treating activity counts as proof of learning or filling in missing earlier history.
School teams also gain reviewed import reconciliation and retained history for policy, readiness, Academy and workload decisions. These use the existing role and workspace permissions.
Start with one class
Read the connected teaching-day guide, or explore ClassLattice features. Start with planning, then use the registers, gradebook and learner review tools available in your workspace. Review sources, recipients and the saved version before sharing.
Provider setup and school permissions affect connected services. This release does not introduce automatic SIS grade write-back or two-way family chat. External integrations and broader district requirements remain separately scoped.
