ClassLattice guide
Run a connected teaching day in ClassLattice
Start with one class and use the workspaces available to your role. Planning, attendance, grades, feedback and family sharing have separate review steps so you can decide what happens next without losing the original work.
01
Prepare the lesson and its class meeting
Open Teaching Planner for the intended class and date. Review the lesson materials and preparation list. If you use a timetable, review and publish it before connecting a lesson to a saved meeting. Preview a move or sequence shift before applying it; started lessons retain their captured history.
- Confirm the class, date and lesson materials.
- Review meeting details and any conflicts.
- Keep the original when reusing a curriculum unit for another period.
02
Record attendance against the intended session
Open the class or daily attendance register that matches the session. Review the roster, record the observed attendance, and save. If a learner joined or left the class, reconcile the roster instead of silently changing an earlier register. Use correction history to explain later changes.
03
Review assignment grades separately from mastery
In Gradebook, choose the class and open assignment grades. Review the assignment definition, roster and grading policy before entering results. Zero is a recorded score; an empty cell is not. Assignment results do not automatically become standards-based mastery judgments.
04
Read the attempt before giving feedback
Open the learner response and its submission history. Review the exact task and saved rubric, then edit and save your private feedback. Preview what the learner will see before release. If requesting a revision, retain the earlier attempt and check the new response against the original request.
- Keep an AI proposal distinct from your reviewed feedback.
- Check any audio transcript or video description.
- After an interrupted save, reopen the saved state before retrying.
05
Prepare a report or portfolio for a specific audience
Select the learner and the evidence that belongs in the report or portfolio. Review any AI proposal, language edition and selected media. Save first, review the exact version, then release only the intended content. If sending email, inspect the recipient and use the separate send action; saving is not sending.
06
Return to pending work and retained history
Use the Classroom Dashboard task list to return to unfinished teaching work. Notes history distinguishes captured records from confirmed delivery. Compare authorized periods when useful, but do not interpret workflow counts as mastery or assume that missing earlier history has been reconstructed.
