Understand when ClassLattice AI assists and where people stay responsible

AI-assisted workflows use bounded authorized context, label review requirements, meter usage, and keep consequential teaching and learner decisions with educators.

What stays connected

  • Authorized context and source lineage
  • Editable drafts instead of silent decisions
  • Educator review before evidence or publication changes
  • Usage, provider failure, and recovery states

AI assists inside an authorized, reviewable workflow

ClassLattice AI features do not receive open-ended authority over the platform. The server selects bounded context, meters the operation, preserves sources and output lineage, and returns drafts or guidance to the human-owned workflow that requested it.

  1. Select minimum-necessary context

The workflow authorizes the course, Vault, standards, sources, and record scope before an AI request; unavailable or unauthorized context is not replaced with fabricated data.

  2. Generate a labeled draft or explanation

Ask ClassLattice, Artifact Studio, Assessment Builder, and guided learning tools return editable assistance with their intended purpose and source relationships visible.

  3. Require the responsible person to review

Educators retain decisions about instruction, evidence, feedback, learner release, placement, support, grading, and publication; consequential mutations are not delegated to a model response.

  4. Record usage and degraded outcomes

Credit reservation and settlement, provider dispatch, reconciliation needs, timeouts, and unavailable states remain distinct from successful generation and from a later saved or published record.
