The shape of a standards report

This example shows the shape of a standards alignment report. It is illustrative, not a real analysis of your resource.

A two-page Grade 6 fraction operations review worksheet

Grade 6 · Mathematics · Common Core State Standards

6.NS.A.1

Interpret and compute quotients of fractions, and solve word problems involving division of fractions by fractions.

Supported by the resource

Evidence: Problems 1 through 6 ask students to compute quotients of fractions, and problems 7 and 8 ask students to solve word problems involving division of fractions by fractions.

Opportunity: No improvement needed for this standard.

6.RP.A.3

Use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world and mathematical problems.

Partially supported

Evidence: Problem 12 uses ratio reasoning to adjust a recipe.

Opportunity: Only one real-world ratio problem appears. Add one more rate problem, or cover the remaining ratio expectations in the surrounding lesson.

6.EE.B.7

Solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x + p = q and px = q for cases in which p, q, and r are rational numbers.

Not enough evidence

Evidence: No problems require writing or solving one-variable equations.

Opportunity: If equation work belongs in this unit, plan it in the surrounding lesson.

What this tool gives you

  • Upload PDF or DOCX, or paste text, for free
  • Choose your state, grade, and subject to review against the applicable standards framework
  • Your report cites evidence from your resource and separates supported, partial, and not-enough-evidence findings
  • Gaps are positioned as opportunities for the surrounding lesson
  • A free verified educator account keeps your material and report private to you

How the flow works

  1. Discover a tool

Find a free tool that answers a specific teaching question about a resource you already use.

  2. Provide your input for free

Upload a PDF or DOCX file, paste text, and choose your state, grade, and subject. No account is required to provide your input.

  3. Create an account or sign in

Your material and context are held temporarily and privately. A free verified educator account keeps your report private to you. No payment method is required.

  4. Receive a saved result

Your report is saved to your account so you can return to it. It cites evidence from your material and explains partial coverage and gaps.

  5. Plan your next lesson

Use your result and original material together in ClassLattice to plan what comes next, with the findings and your reviewed standards carried into the lesson.

Inputs, limits, and privacy

  • Upload your resource for free. Create a free account to get your standards report and use it to plan your next lesson.
  • Accepted input: PDF, DOCX, Pasted text. Files up to 2 MB and text up to 42,000 characters.
  • Inputs are held temporarily for 24 hours, then deleted unless you keep them with a free account.
  • Do not include student names, scores, or other student-identifying information in uploaded or pasted material.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Standards Alignment Checker free?

Yes. Providing a resource and creating your report requires no payment method. The report is tied to a free educator account so your material and results stay private to you.

Which file formats and limits are supported?

PDF and DOCX files totaling up to 2 MB. Single-input tools accept up to 42,000 extracted characters; two-input tools accept up to 21,000 per input. Longer documents must be shortened before analysis. Reports review a relevance-based shortlist of standards, not the entire catalog.

What does the report include?

Candidate standards with an alignment status, specific evidence from your resource, requirements that are addressed, missing or unclear, and a practical suggested improvement. It is an evidence-based review, not a certification of compliance or a prediction of student mastery.

How long do you keep my uploaded resource?

Inputs are held temporarily and privately for 24 hours from acceptance. Create and verify your free account within 24 hours to keep this material. Otherwise, it will be automatically deleted. Once your report is saved to your account, your material follows the normal workspace retention rules.

Can I upload material that includes student work?

No. Use instructional resources without student-identifying information. Do not include student names, scores, or other student-identifying information in uploaded or pasted material.

What happens after I create my account?

You verify your email, then return to this checker to continue with your staged material and context. From there, Plan a lesson with this resource opens your material, context, and reviewed standards in the lesson planning workflow.
